The funding will be used to completely redevelop the 55 year-old campus by building 14 general learning areas and breakout spaces, a library, a learning support centre, student and staff toilets, two prep areas, walkways and a lunch area.
During the Easter holidays the basketball court, student amenities and a common area will be demolished to make way for the new buildings to be built.
Principal Helen Wade said learning and teaching will go ahead as usual with no disruptions.
"The only thing we have to bring in is temporary student amenities, which will be arriving during the holidays and ready to go on the first day back to school," Ms Wade said.
Ms Wade anticipates that the renovations will be completed by the commencement of the school year 2020.
"Students and teachers, from prep to grade 6 will be in new classrooms."
Each classrooms will appear as a flexible learning area with portable equipment that can be moved easily to allow space to permeate the area for comfortable learning.
The school is currently applying for further funding to complete their 'master plan' and rebuild and refurbish the main administration building.
"The plan is to rebuild administration, staff facilities and a uniform shop across the front of the school," Ms Wade said.
The school is also in the process of changing their school logo.
"There will be some changes to the embroidery on our school uniforms once that is finalised."
