A man has been charged with arson after a fire destroyed Urandangi's one-hundred-year old former police station.

Urandangi is now served from Dajarra Police Station and the station on Hunter St which is now a private dwelling burned down on Saturday night around 2am.
Locals say the arson followed a domestic dispute between a couple who were not residents of Urandangi.
Queensland police said a 27-year-old man from the Northern Territory who was residing at the address has been charged with arson.
He appeared in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Monday and was remanded in custody to appear back in court on June 10, 2019.
Mount Isa Detectives are in Urandangii investigating the fire.
