Mark Watson pleaded guilty in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on August 26 to one count of driving without a license - repeat offender.
The court heard how police intercepted a vehicle on July 22 and Watson failed to supply his license, telling police he lost it a long time ago.
Magistrate Trinity McGarvie was provided a 10 paged report of Watson's traffic history which states he was disqualified from holding a license until 2023.
"The defendant clearly keeps disregarding the law," Magistrate McGarvie said.
"You have a very troubling traffic history - if you drive again you are looking at a lengthy term of imprisonment."
Watson was fines $1500 and had his license further disqualified for two years and conviction recorded.
