Damien Finter-trained galloper Deadly Choices built on his success from Mount Isa a week earlier, to win round three of the Queensland Country Cups Challenge.
Deadly Choices won by nearly four lengths over Loud Enough and Snippy Strategic securing his passage to Brisbane for the $105,000 Challenge at Doomben on November 30.
"It was a really good win, he improved from the week before in the Mount Isa Spring Cup. He had a beautiful run in transit and showed a good turn of foot," Finter said.
"He is a pretty classy horse and this year he has been very consistent, he is on the right track."
Mr Finter said the Country Cup was a great incentive for country owned horses and he hoped to have better luck at Eagle Farm this time around.
"Deadly Choices placed second in the Battle of the Bush final. He was only just beaten (by a nose) last time but I think we have a solid chance of success this time around."
