About 250 competitors including 70 juniors, cast their rods in an attempt to snag the best fish across 20 categories.
Lake Moondarra Fishing Classic event organiser Tiffany Waddell - Wood said only five barramundi were caught over the weekend, which was quite low compared to previous years.
"Last year one team brought in 10 fish on their own. This year the weather was a bit cooler therefore less Barra," Ms Waddell - Wood said.
"The biggest Barra weighed 6.39kg and was caught by Daniel Evans and the junior winner Barra weighed 5.56kg and was caught by Cruz Pyke."
Despite the challenging conditions catching barramundi, there was plenty of other species caught.
Largest Archer Fish was caught by Jacob Pyke, 0.41kg and the junior was Noah Pyke 0.36kg.
Catfish was caught by Nicholas Thinee, 3.05kg and the junior was Arjuna Griffin, 2.43kg.
Longtom was caught by Milena Salak, 0.92kg and junior catch winner was Arjuna Griffin, 1.04kg.
Sleepy Cod was caught by Cody Burnham, 1.81kg and junior winner was Bill Woodward, 1.59kg.
Sooty Grunter was caught by Nicholas Thinee, 1.36kg and junior was Mitchel Thinee 1.03kg.
The senior angler was awarded to Nicholas Thinee on 1350 points and junior angler was Mitchell Thinee on 1200 points. The Thinee Family also took out Champion Team with 1650 points.
Ms Waddell-Wood said overall it was a great event with a lot happening over the weekend.
"Crowd numbers were a little bit down this year but there was a lot going on in town, with other events," she said.
However, there were a lot of people taking advantage of the event permit to camp at the lake with their families.
"The Dragon Boat racing had a fantastic turn out and everyone enjoyed the night entertainment and fireworks."
Dragon Our Tail won the Dragon Boat Regatta winning $600, followed by Glencore Struck and MICO Dreamboat Dragon Boat in third.
Townview Tutus claimed the best dressed team.
The Lake Moondarra Fishing Classic committee will now debrief and have a bit of a break before starting to plan the 2020 event after Christmas.
All money raised from the event will go towards the Mount Isa Fish Stocking Group.
The amount of funds raised is currently unknown at this stage.
