The event, 180km north of Cloncurry, coincides with the opening of the airstrip and a Royal Flying Doctor Service field day with the RFDS clinical and aviation team and allied health services from NWRH.
There will be a cricket match in the afternoon plus a visit from Santa and there will be a bar, barbecue and entertainment later in the day.
