At 3am on Saturday, October 26, a man was approached from behind by a woman known to him,
It is alleged she was swearing and verbally threatened his family before striking him with a long metal bar across both arms and the middle of the forehead, resulting in a 1.5cm laceration.
A 34-year-old Wellesley Islands woman was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed and contravention of domestic violence order.
She will appear in the Mornington Island Magistrates Court on November 12.
At 3am on Sunday, October 27, people were drinking in Dunlyu Street when a family member asked a woman if another woman could join the group, but was denied.
Police will allege this woman has then approached the other woman and struck her in the face with a ceramic cup, resulting in a laceration to her nose and forehead.
As a result, a 21-year-old Wellesley Islands woman was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
She will appear in the Mornington Island Magistrates Court on November 12.
