After 0.2mm falling in the gauge on Saturday, Sunday's forecast is for a partly cloudy day with a slight (30%) chance of a shower, most likely during this afternoon and evening and the chance of a thunderstorm from late this morning.
There is a similar forecast for Monday with a partly cloudy day and a slight (30%) chance of a shower, most likely during this afternoon and evening and the chance of a thunderstorm from late this morning.
However the chance of rain goes up to medium (60%) on Tuesday and Wednesday.
However the Bureau says maximum falls are only up to 6mm on all days and that reduces to a millimetre or less later in the week.
Maximum temperatures will also climb from the mid 30s to the high 30s later in the week.
With 14.0mm falling in Mount Isa on Friday, it brought the monthly total for January up to 190.2mm well above the mean rainfall of 114.7mm for the month.
Cloncurry had 32.4mm on Thursday for 260.6mm for the month.
Julia Creek copped 63.6mm on Friday.and Richmond 39.2mm.
Burketown got 29.0mm on Friday and 30.2mm on Saturday.
Camooweal 14.8mm on Saturday after 33.4mm on Thursday.
The Flinders and Landsborough Hwys are open.
Roads closed include the Alma St Crossing in Mount Isa, Clem Walton Park Road, Hensley Drive, Cloncurry, Mount Isa Duchess Road, Urandangi North and South Rd, Boulia to Dajarra, Boulia to Winton, Richmond Winton Road, Prairie Muttaburra Road, Wills Developmental Road, Gregory Downs Camooweal Road, Doomadgee to NT border.
