Mount Isa SES Group Leader Chantelle Muston said too many calls last week were just general maintenance concerns.
"Some of our work was due to poor maintenance and people not clearing their gutters. People need to make sure roofs are well maintained and gutters are clear, it's not the SES job to clear them out," Ms Muston said.
"One house even had about three inches of debris on their roof, it was that thick that it was growing."
Ms Muston said they were out all over Mount Isa during the rain.
"The worst we seen was off Curry road, once that bank broke out at East Leichhardt some houses were flooded.
"Fortunately we were able to attend all of the call outs and no one was left stranded."
