After the first ever schools tri at Splashez Swimming Pool on Saturday, organisers IsaRATs ran the Mount Isa Mines Corporate Triathlon at Lake Moondarra on Sunday with an 800m swim in the lake, 20km on the bikes on Lake Moondarra Dr followed by three laps to the lookout and back for a 5km run.
Fourteen teams got up for an early start on the day.
IsaRATs president Kim Alcorn thanked the athletes as well as major sponsors Mount Isa Mines and the other sponsors for 2020 DM Panel Repairs, Harvey Norman Mount Isa, Sports Power, QH2O and Buffs Club Mount Isa
"I'd also like to thank our volunteers who've given up their Sunday to help," Ms Alcorn said.
"We couldn't run this without them."
In Saturday's school event St Kieran's Catholic School won the primary school section and Spinifex State College won the secondary section.
IsaRATs' first Race to the Creek is on February 23 and training tris will continue every two weeks in the lead up to Dirt N Dust in April.
