Over six millimetres fell since around 5pm Friday with the last of the rain clearing by 10pm.
Cloncurry got 9.4mm overnight, Normanton 13.4mm, Hughenden 31.8mm, Burketown 8.4mm, Camooweal 5.4mm, Julia Creek 16.8mm and Winton 6.8mm, though Boulia and points further south missed out.
In Mount Isa the temperature dipped to around 10 degrees this morning but the 95 percent humidity allowed for evaporative cooling bringing a chill to the morning air.
A surface trough extends from the Tasman low to the central coast of Queensland, and will move northeastwards over the next few days, moving off the tropical east coast.
Today will be sunny with cool southerly winds and a top of 20.
The temperature dips to six degrees overnight before rising to 21 on Sunday and a similar max on Monday.
The days warm up as the week develops with tops of 23 Tuesday, 25 Wednesday and 26 Thursday and 27 on Friday and minimums back into the teens by mid-week.
