Playing at Captain Cook Oval on Saturday, it was the Bulls who won the toss and elected to bat.
Runs were had to come by early and the Bulls could only manage 10-1 off the first five overs finally breaking loose with 15 runs in the sixth over.
Just past the half way mark they were still going slowly but had plenty of wickets in hand at 51-1.
But then top scorer Noren was run out for 30 and he was followed by Bobby (22) and Adrian (20).
In the end Bulls managed 128-8 off their 20 overs.
J. Hill was best of the bowlers with a tidy 1-5 off four and Anuras also only gave away six runs in four overs.
In the previous game the Stars' openers overhauled a similarly modest Panthers total with ease, though this time they had to reach down the order.
Again openers Cullis and Bateman quickly ate into the total rattling along to 0-74 off eight overs.
However this time they were out in quick succession Cullis for 45 and Bateman for 34.
And with Spooner out for a duck, there was a glimmer of hope for the Bulls.
But Nadeesh (25) and Scott Kyle (8no) steadied the ship to ease past the target in 15 overs.
Best of the bowlers was Jag with 2-23.
Stars won by six wickets.
