The road trip will begin on Sunday, in Longreach and conclude on Saturday, August 28 in Mount Isa.
FQ and Football Australia participation officers will deliver football activities for all ages with Football Australia Junior Program Officers engaging with local schools in Mount Isa to spread the love of football with free 'Give it a Go' sessions during school hours.
FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said the road trip would see FQ visit Longreach, Winton, Julia Creek, Cloncurry and Mount Isa.
"This road trip is about establishing connections with locals of all ages to get involved in the various forms of the game," Mr Cavallucci.
"Football Australia and FQ officers will deliver schools and MiniRoos programs as well as come-and-try sessions for futsal and Walking Football."
The trip comes as Football Queensland replaces the former Far North and North West zones with a new Far North and Gulf zone.
Mr Cavallucci said the new zone and naming conventions would allow FQ to achieve better alignment of strategy and outcomes for football.
"The new zones and naming conventions are designed to better reflect the broader geography of the areas and present a more inclusive reference to the wider regions they represent," Mr Cavallucci said.
"The boundaries are drawn in such a way as to align with Football Queensland's strategic priorities. The new Far North & Gulf zone will provide FQ and clubs in the north with a better strategic position to access, service and promote football to Indigenous participants and communities in the Cape. Importantly, the names of the zones more closely align with Queensland Government region naming conventions, as we present a united voice for increased investment in football."
