An 18-year-old Happy Valley man has been charged with murder after a stabbing attack in Mount Isa.

Emergency services were called to a property at Abel Smith Parade just after 2am on Thursday, February 8, following reports a man had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, the 34-year-old Richmond Hill man was located with life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to the Mount Isa Hospital where he died a short time later.
The 18-year-old was taken into custody at the scene. Police allege the two men were known to each other.
The man has been charged with one count of murder (domestic violence) and is due to appear at Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Friday, February 9.
