The new natural playscape was unveiled last week with eager little faces keen to get in and try it out.
Curry Kids Early Learning Centre received financial support under the Australian Government Child Care Services Support Program for the refurbishment of the outdoor play area; specific to long day-care centres.
Curry Kids Early Learning Centre director Rhiannon Williams said when educators look at the environment we look at how children live within, and engage with it.
“I believe every child brings with them deep curiosity and potential, and this innate curiosity helps drive their interest to understand the world and their place within it,” Miss Williams said.
“Natural playscapes encourage collaboration, communication and investigation.
“The new natural playscape respects children as capable learners by providing them with natural materials and tools like rocks, water and sand for them to explore,” said Miss Williams.
Deputy Mayor Bob McDonald said the refurbishment was a welcome addition at Curry Kids Early Learning Centre.
“It’s put a few smiles on some little faces,” Cr McDonald said.
“Curry Kids Early Learning Centre continues to grow and develop, and this is a vital service for our community.
“Curry Kids Early Learning Centre is a service provided by Council Shire Council.
“It’s about increasing the liveability of our community to attract young families to the area and encourage new parents to stay in the community and to provide the services needed.”
