The series captured and showcased some of the stunning landscapes and scenery around the Isa region, but it was the hospitality and assistance from local businesses during their 10 day stay that Terrain Tamer’s team said was the true highlight of their trip.
Already in partnership with Isa 4WD Parts & Repairs, the local area stockist for Terrain Tamer, the company relied heavily on owner Rob and his team to be their “man on the ground”, helping to find suitable locations for filming and put them in touch with the right people to make sure filming went off smoothly.
But Terrain Tamer’s General Manager, Brent Hutchinson said it went above and beyond this, with the Isa 4WD team giving up their weekend to assist on set, and organising for Terrain Tamer to take part in an actual muster.
“We spend a long time developing parts for extreme conditions and hardworking people, but it’s not until you visit somewhere like Isa that you see just how hardworking these people are” says Brent.
“Everyone from the Isa 4WD team, to the station managers and workers put in long, hard hours to help us get the experience we needed. It was amazing,” Mr Hutchinson said.
Similarly, the team sought the help of local business DAB FAB Custom Fabrications during their stay, to help prepare Jess’ Land Cruiser for muster.
Mr Hutchinson said owners, Dan and Gav proved to be more than impressive, working through to midnight, in order to make sure the rail and bar work on the freshly rebuilt bull buggy was up to scratch and ready to meet the rugged demands of muster.
“Jess was very particular about the bar work she wanted done and the boys were able to accommodate us and do a great job with the short timeframe we gave them.
“Dan was apprehensive to be in front of the camera, but ended up being a complete natural,” he said.
Mr Hutchinson credits Isa’s sense of community with being a real help to his team during their stay.
“Everyone seemed to be a friend of a friend.
“We were so well connected and everyone was just a phone call away, always welcoming and willing to help.”
