There was little in it all day with only a late blow-out giving the score a lop-sided look it barely deserved.
Brothers led 20-14 at the break scoring four tries to three in the first half but Black Stars came out firing in the second.
They kicked off and the ball rebounded off a Brothers player giving them possession which led to a try under the posts and the scores deadlocked at 20-20 with almost 40 still to play.
On 54 minutes Brothers restored their lead after a penalty led to a try in the corner but within two minutes Starries hit back locking matters up at 24-24 again.

Brothers had a series of sixes that the Starries just held out and a Brothers player was sinbinned in frustration with barely 15 to go.
Oddly it was Brothers who best adapted to the situation despite the 12 men being pinned back.
A length of the field breakaway gave them a lead and at 30-24 they never looked back adding another try when still with just 12 players and then insult to injury a clincher at the death after a series of attacks.
The final score was Brothers 42, Black Stars 24.
In the other game premiers Town still look to be the side to beat after fending off the challenge of Wanderers 24-12.
