The new kebab and curry house called 'Spice Heaven' officially opened for business on Tuesday November 26 and is located on 8 West St.
Spice Heaven owner Kuljeet Chauhan said it was a longstanding dream of his to one day open his own family run restaurant with wife Manpreet Chauhan.
"We have worked in a lot of kitchens over the years throughout Queensland and thought the time was right to open our own," Mr Chauhan said.
"I have been in Mount Isa seven years now and noticed there isn't many Indian options in town."
Mr Chauhan said he and his wife Manpreet were from India so they know how to cook Indian food properly and how to get authentic Indian flavours.
"We have a large menu with all the classics but also offer a lot of vegetable options and even donner kebabs.
"Some of our kebabs are unique house made kebabs with an Indian twist."
