Newly installed mayor Danielle Slade was first to take the oath having narrowly ousted sitting mayor Joyce McCulloch by 163 votes.
She said earlier in the week that dealing with the COVID-19 epidemic and its effect on local business would be her first priority as mayor.
She was then followed by last term's deputy mayor Phil Barwick, and then Cr Mick Tully followed by returning councillor Kim Coghlan, who topped the poll ahead of Crs Tully and Barwick,
Fellow returning councillors George Fortune, Peta MacRae and Paul Stretton also took their oath of office.
The decision on who will be deputy mayor for this term will be decided at the first council meeting of the new term next Wednesday, April 22.
