Parkside A goalkeeper Jason Howard confirmed the good news saying the 2020 season would commence mid July.
"The senior men's competition is scheduled to start on Saturday July 11, with six teams pencilled in to start the 2020 season," Howard said.
However, Howard did not have positive news for the women's competition stating that teams were struggling for numbers.
"Formally the start date for the women's is on Friday July 17, but it is still up in the air as currently there is not enough commitment," he said.
Howard said there was going to be some changes for the post-covid season.
"There are some rule changes regarding being COVID safe, we now have to arrive 25 minutes before the game and not really hang around after the game.
"The season will also be 14 weeks with the finals being played in October.
"Since it is later in the year and it will be warmer so we will be pushing the games back an hour so it's a little cooler," he said.
Howard said there would also more than likely be heat rules once summer arrived and that would introduce the game to played in quarters rather than halves.
