The 2019-2020 season was halted as the finals were about to commence.
Originally delayed until May, the can kept being kicked down the road. But never fear, the Mount Isa Rugby Union grand final will finally take place as advertised this weekend.
Third-place Cloncurry graciously agreed to stand aside and allow the top two teams, Euros and Keas, play off in the decider this weekend.
Their game is the second of a double header at the rugby grounds at Alma St this weekend.
At 6pm Cloncurry take on Warrigals in the opener.
Then at 8pm, the grand final kicks off.
It is a repeat of last season's decider and if the outcome is similar it will be a thriller with Euros prevailing 22-21 in 2019.
Gates open at 5.30pm. $5 entry, kids free.
