Derrick's Boxing gym is hosting the event at the Mount Isa Basketball Stadium and this one will be Fight Night 2 after they organised a successful event in September 2019.
Just like the first night Fight Night 2 will formally match up Queensland vs Northern Territory and interstate.
Organiser James Derrick said there would be clubs from all three states and territories there with all ages from 10 to adult while fellow Mount Isa gym Golden Oaks will also provide fighters on the night.
"There's going to be some good experienced fighters coming out and the boys here have been training hard and they are looking forward to fighting in front of their families and a home crowd," Derrick said.
"Everyone in Mount Isa gets behind the locals."
Derrick will be bringing along six of his best fighters who have been training under Sudesh Somu and they will be featuring among 30 fights on the night, with two minutes a round up to three rounds under the eye of referees from Brisbane and Townsville.
He said he was looking forward to seeing how a couple of his younger fighters Dion Riley, 13 and Darcy Masters, 10 would get on in the ring against NT youngsters.
"Sudesh has been preparing them and they have been training really hard," he said.
"It's good for the town to get behind the boys."
Sudesh Somu said he had been working with the boys for over two months ahead of the fight.
"They are listening to me and sparring hard," Somu said.
