The administration worker said she bought her beloved Holden five years ago at a car yard in Mount Isa, describing the sale as love at first sight.
"Both of my uncles are really into utes and it was time for me to buy a car of my own," she said.
"I saw this one and fell in love with it."
Ms Bithell said the vehicle was great when she owned horses - the perfect companion for carting hay, moving equipment and even going on small camping trips.
"I don't have horses anymore so now it's my city car and I like to keep it looking nice,"she said.
Bringing out her ute for competition this month will mark a first time and last hurrah for the two.
Ms Bithell said she had never entered her Ute into anything before but wanted to before she plans to sell it later this year.
If the old adage is correct, the red paint on her prize vehicle may just get her to the top a little faster than the rest.
Queensland Music Festival's Swingin' Utes producer Seamus Mee said he was looking for lots of Utes like Ms Bithell's to be shined-up and shown-off as part of the show.
"We're looking for old utes, work Utes, 'you beaut' utes, big boofy utes and classic Utes," he said.
"One local Ute may be selected to take part in the show that evening with Troy and the Queensland Youth Orchestra Big Band."
Mount Isa Muscle Car Association (MIMCA) president Ben McDonald also invited Club members to bring their prize restored cars down too.
"I encourage anyone in the Mount Isa or Cloncurry region who owns or just loves muscle cars to join our club, show off your pride and joy and be a part of this amazing event," he said.
Ute owners were encouraged to bring their prized vehicles to Buchanan Park on Saturday, July 20.
