The officers are part of a group of 42 new recruits set to be serving across Queensland after 25 weeks of training.
Acting Police, Fire and Emergency Services Minister Andrew Powell said the recent recruitment drive had been the biggest in 20 years.
Queensland Police Commissioner Ian Stewart wished the new recruits luck in their Townsville ceremony yesterday.
``It is my vision that these new constables will be courageous, fair and proud in their duties as they work to stop crime, make the community safer and build relationships,'' he said.
``There is no doubt that each of these new officers will experience some challenging situations, however there will also be many rewarding and humbling times.''
