The Member for Kennedy yesterday handed over the hat to musician and singer of chart-topping song Happy, Pharrell Williams, at the 2DAY FM breakfast show in Sydney yesterday.
``My staff played me clap your hands if you're happy.
``Outside of country music it's pretty good. It's not real music but for not real music it's pretty good.'' Mr Katter said he was disappointed the singer didn't ask him to do a routine with him.
``I thought he might have wanted to do a song with me,'' he said.
Mr Katter while he thought Pharrell's hat looked great on him, he wouldn't be swapping his Akubra for one anytime soon.
Mr Katter said he told Pharrell that while his hat auctions, which have fetched about $2000 didn't match up to the hat he wore to the Grammys - which was sold for more than $40,000 - he said he believed he was almost on a par.
