The show, in its 27th year, is the Apex Club of Mount Isa’s biggest fund-raiser, and club treasurer Stephanie Bithell’s hopes of holding a “bigger and better” show hinge on more sponsors coming on board.
Confirmed sponsors so far are Barkly Hire, Ergon Energy, Mount Isa City Council, Coles and Mount Isa Hire Services.
‘‘We are appealing to the Mount Isa community to sponsor the Rock Pop Mime Show 2014. There are a lot of sponsorship packs so you don’t have to be a business to be a sponsor,’’ Miss Bithell said.
‘‘The fireworks show is always a fan favourite of the night and the person or business who sponsors this year’s will have their name put on the show.
‘‘The Rock Pop Mime Show usually has between 3000-4000 people in attendance so any assistance is greatly appreciated.’’
The show is to be held at the Irish Club Tony White Oval on Friday, October 17. The next Rock Pop Mime Show meeting is to be held on Monday, July 7, at 6.30pm at the Stepps Meeting Room.
Miss Bithell can be contacted on 0408797931.
