Dave Rogers, who has posed in The Firefighters Calendar, will be at the rodeo from Friday until Sunday from 9am until 6pm.
“Western and Outback Regional Queensland has always been a great supporter of the calendar, and Mount Isa in particular, always welcome our Fire Fighters everytime they visit" he said.
"As a father myself, I can understand the heartbreak parents face when an accident strikes any child. The more calendars we sell, the more we contribute to a much needed cause that services regional Queensland."
The Queensland Fire Fighter’s calendar was established in 1993 and currently raises funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation through the sale of calendars depicting and featuring Fire Fighters.
During the past 22 years in excess of $850,000 has been raised from sales of the calendar and donated to support the Children’s Burns Unit. Last year 700 children were admitted to the Burn’s Unit with severe burn injuries and 50 per cent of the children came from regional and Western Queensland.
Mr Rogers (Mr December) will be joined by other fundraisers at Mount Isa’s premier event and is more than happy to pose for photos or sign the month he is featured in.
