The students were visited by Victorian artist Lynton Allan who painted two pictures as he talked about his inspiration from the Australian landscape and shared passages from the Bible that helped him when he was faced with life challenges.
Visit organiser Morgan Slykerman said it was an interesting way for the students to engage with Religious Education.
“Students were enthralled as the pictures came to life in front of them,” Mr Slykerman said.
“Lynton was very clever in how he tied in religious ideas and faith with the steps of creating his animal art pieces.”
One lucky student was given a picture to take home as a memento of the visit.
