And with only five weeks until Ali S perform’s his new single ‘I Need a Beer’ at this year’s Buffs Club Isa Show, the show secretary, Ranita Tolhke is delighted to secure his services.
“We’re so excited to announce Ali S will be performing on both days of the Show,” Ms Tohlke said.
His new single, written with Catherine Britt, was inspired by his experience of working underground at Mount Isa Mine and looking forward to having a beer after work.
A graduate of the 2017 Country Music Academy, Ali S said he was blown away with the willingness of his mentors, at the Academy, to pass on their knowledge and experiences in writing, performing and touring on the music circuit.
He said being part of CMA has given him another step up on the country music ladder of live performances.
Growing up in Boulia, Ali S, may have moved to the coast to expand his musical career but he is always ready to return to the Outback to perform.
And with his traditional country style, with a contemporary twist, his music appeal to country music fans of all ages.
His songs are based around life on the land, famous country music artists and the legends of rodeo.
And has used his experience in rodeo, working on the land, as a plumber, underground miner and road contractor in writing his songs.
You can hear, Ali S sing I Need A Beer after all of the thrills and spills of PBR, in Kalkadoon Arena at Buchanan Park, on Saturday night June 24.
