The art project was launched on May 30 for National Reconciliation Week, and is now complete.
Mount Isa City Council collaborated with local Indigenous artists Sheree Blackley and Chris Doyle and Kalkadoon Community members to create the mural.
Ms Blackley said the images represent the vitality of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander cultures and their connections within the community.
Mount Isa Mayor Cr Joyce McCulloch said the artwork is a celebration of cultures coming together in the spirit of reconciliation.
“These murals are not only a beautiful addition to this popular family recreational area, it also tells a story of Indigenous culture, history and identity in Mount Isa, and what it represents,” said Cr McCulloch said.
“Having members of the Kalkadoon Community work with us on this project was just amazing and shows how cultures can come together respectfully and peacefully.
“It will be a special place for future celebrations and commemorations,” she said.
