Mount Isa School of Dance, Mount Isa Meals on Wheels and Mount Isa State Special School have been selected as finalists to take their share in a $1500 grant to be awarded by Mount Isa Village as part of its Christmas giving program.
From today (Monday November 27), Mount Isa Village shoppers can vote for their favourite finalist by spending a minimum of $10 in any of the shopping centre’s stores and uploading their receipt.
The more votes, the larger share of the grant the winning community group will be awarded.
Shoppers will have until Sunday January 14, 2018 to vote for the most deserving community group.
Mount Isa Village’s Marketing Manager Natalia Palacio said they wanted to give back to the groups who give so much to the community.
“Mount Isa School of Dance, Mount Isa Meals on Wheels and Mount Isa State Special School are the types of groups that make up the heart of the community,” she said.
“Whether showcasing local dance talent, making meals for the community or helping students in wheelchairs, they all have an important role to play.”
Winners will be announced on Thursday January 25, 2018.
