Due to the generosity of the Spilsbury’s, almost 80 hand-picked presents were given to all of the local Boulia children.
Ranging in age from newborns to 10 year olds, the event, fondly known as The Christmas Tree, has been part of the Boulia community for many years. In more recent times the Min Min Store owners, the Spilsbury’s have taken on the role as organisers.
Mr Spilsbury said he and his wife were firm believers in supporting and giving back to their community.
“We enjoy seeing the kid’s happy faces when they see Santa and get to open their presents.”
He also said the evening event would not have been possible without the help of Santa, also known as Graham Smerdon.
