Townview State School hosted a range of activities to deepen students understanding of cultural diversity as part of Harmony Day.
Michelle Arsenic from Townview State School said Harmony Day is held every year and recognises the cultural diversity that makes Australia a great place to live.
“The message of Harmony Day is ‘everyone belongs’ and students were encouraged to dress in their cultural costumes,” Ms Arsenic said.
“Each class chose a particular culture to study and shared their new found knowledge with their buddy class.
“Students participated in games and craft activities from their researched culture and were entertained by Samoan dances,” she said.
