Meteorologist Forecaster Janine Yuasa from the Bureau of Meteorology said as the wind dies down during the course of the morning and into the day the dust should begin to settle.
“The front has only just moved in, it will still be a little bit more windy than it has for the last few days as the day moves on.
This storm has moved north from Boulia and the Channel Country which is also experiencing similar conditions.
