Mayor Joyce McCulloch said it was the perfect vehicle to share much of the news and information that was continually coming from council and it will make it easier for residents to know what council projects were happening from month to month.
“We’ll still publish news straight to the Council website and social media, and share to the local news outlets, but the newsletter will be a nice compact snapshot of what is Council is doing in and around the community each month,” Cr McCulloch said.
The newsletter will feature news items, grants and funding information, events, current projects, and general information.
To keep costs at a minimum, the newsletter will be published as an e-edition, and people can subscribe on the website to receive the newsletter straight to their inbox each month.
For residents who require a hard copy, it can be printed on request when visiting the Council office at 23 West Street.
The Council newsletter will be available each month on the Council website: http://www.mountisa.qld.gov.au/e-newsletter-subscription
