The North West Hospital and Service Board Chair Paul Woodhouse said applications close on midnight October 20.
Mr Woodhouse said key priorities for the NWHHS include seeking an improvement in Indigenous health outcomes and lessening the overall burden of disease.
“Working with our key strategic partners, there are a number of exciting initiatives underway in the region,” Mr Woodhouse said.
“The Board generally meets with the North West executive team once a month in Mount Isa with every third month allocated to a visit to outlying facilities and local communities across the region.
“Board members are also actively involved in a range of dedicated Committees which meet either every month or on a quarterly basis,” he said.
“If you share our passion for delivering better health for North Queensland communities, I strongly encourage you to consider submitting an application.”
Board chairs and members are appointed by the Governor-in-Council, on the recommendation of the health minister.
Positions are part-time and remunerated in accordance with Queensland Government guidelines.
They start in May 2019, with terms of up to four years.
