The four-day concert on from April 25 to 28 next year already has a star-studded line-up of talent announced.
Performers will include indie pop singer-songwriter and ARIA nominee Amy Shark, US country stars Jon Pardi and Brett Eldredge and Aussie legends John Williamson, Ross Wilson, Glenn Shorrock and John Schumann.
Thousands of revellers visited the tiny town earlier this year for the festival, which was hosted for the first time in April.
Organisers hope the event’s success will be repeated, with next year’s program to include an ANZAC Day dawn service, two big festival nights, ten big stage acts and national and international artists.
A breakfast will also be hosted at The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum, with proceeds raised from events to go towards drought relief.
Winton Shire Council mayor Gavin Baskett encouraged everyone who loved rock’n’roll to attend the show, which celebrated outback Australia.
“The festival is a great reason to come visit western Queensland, enjoy Winton’s hospitality and enjoy the very best Australian and international artists,” he said.
“Our town comes alive with music everywhere.
“It is much more than a music festival.
It’s your chance to experience outback life and support outback communities.
- Winton Shire Council mayor Gavin Baskett
Other musicians set to entertain include rockers San Cisco and Lime Cordiale, Canada’s The Road Hammers, Chad Morgan and Minnie Marks.
Tourism Industry Development Minister Kate Jones said Winton’s first Way Out West Fest had lured more than 6500 visitors to the region, describing the festival as a runaway success.
“Seeing Winton swell to nearly ten times its normal size for the 2018 event was proof of the power of events as a key part of our overall tourism strategy for Queensland,” she said.
“The Queensland Government will again support the event in 2019 through Tourism and Events Queensland’s major events program.”
Tickets, on sale from Tuesday, are priced from $258.50 per person, with camping, concession and youth tickets also available. For more information, visit wintonswayoutwestfest.com.au.
