As we enter the fifth day of weather warnings the area of concern in the North West has narrowed to Julia Creek, Richmond and Winton.

Heavy rainfall, which may lead to localised flash flooding, is likely to continue across the northwestern interior. Six-hourly rainfall totals of 70mm to 120mm are possible though damaging winds are no longer expected.
Locations which may be affected include Julia Creek, Richmond and Winton.
Since 9am Monday Julia Creek Airport has been hit with a massive 179mm, Glen Idol 132mm and Etta Plains 88mm.
McKinlay Shire Council said there were falls of up to 300mm in the past 24 hours in parts of the shire.
“While we needed rain so very badly, it’s fair to say most need it to ease off now,” the council said.
The Landsborough Highway is closed between Winton and Cloncurry (that includes the towns of McKinlay and Kynuna)
The Flinders Highway is closed between Julia Creek and Richmond; Julia Creek and Cloncurry.
Julia Creek to Burke and Wills Junction (The Beef Rd), Julia Creek to Kynuna and Julia Creek to McKinlay roads are all closed.
Cloncurry has had 388.2mm for the month of February so far including 58.8mm on Monday while Mount Isa had another 34.0mm on Monday to make it 230.4mm for the month so far.
Lake Moondarra is up to 87.5% full and was closed on Monday while the Mount Isa Water Board made flood preparations.
MIWB say they hope to re-open Transport Bay and the lookout today with council help though the boat ramps and Warrina Park will remain closed.
