Operating for 10 months, Council said the community had the chance to adapt to the new system and believe it was an appropriate time to review its implementation.
Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from interested parties for participation in a series of small workshops;
- Property owners of residential houses and/or units
- property owners of investment properties
- other individuals who have been impacted by the simplified two part tariff water charging methodology
"The purpose of these small group workshops is to provide feedback on how the two-part tariff has affected you and to seek your input into ideas on how to make the water charging even fairer for our community," Council said in a community notice.
Interested persons can contact the Senior Revenue Officer, Tina Munokoa on 4747 3200 or email city@mountisa.qld.gov.au to request an Expressions of Interest form by Friday May 10 at 5pm.
All registrations for an "Expressions of Interest for the Water Charging Community Consultation Workshop" will need to submit an interest form with required information: Name, Address, Contact Number, Contact Email, Address of property owned, brief summary of why you want to participate and preferred availability.
Council will notify all successful applicants by email by Friday 17th May 5pm.
