Two community forums will be held next week to allow Southern Gulf NRM members and others with an interest in the proposal for a merger, to meet with the Southern Gulf NRM Chairperson Megan Munchenberg, and CEO Andrew Maclean to discuss the proposal in person.
The forums will be held in Julia Creek on Tuesday September 10 3pm to 4pm and in Hughenden on Wednesday September 11 3pm to 4pm
"The Southern Gulf NRM Board wants to ensure that it consults widely in the region to ensure it is fully informed in advance of any formal merger decision," the organisation said.
"We hope that you can join us to contribute to this very important decision about the future of natural resource management in the Southern Gulf Region."
If the merger was to go ahead, the combined organisation would sustain 20 per cent of natural resource management across Queensland.
