The annual R U OK day had skill-building activities to approach adversity and help one another.
Acting assistant principal Jade Marinelli said it was important to educate students on health and well-being from a young age.
"The day helps students check in with each other, listen without judgment and follow up with one another," Ms Marinelli said.
"It also allows students to understand who they can connect with in the community and the skills they need to support each other."
The day had a variety of activities that approached mental health in a holistic way.
Some included fitness based activities where students work together as a team and also look after their body.
Others included puzzles that showcased the four steps of the initiative: asking questions, listening, encouraging and following up.
Ms Marinelli said they were introducing eastern styles of mental care.
"We are also encouraging students to get in touch with their spirit through Christian meditation and walking through a labyrinth," she said.
The day was concluded with a barbecue and muffins for sale to raise money for the R U OK foundation.
