Police are appealing for witnesses after a single vehicle traffic crash near Cloncurry overnight.

Around 8.30pm Friday, a Toyota Hilux utility was travelling in a northerly direction along Cloncurry Duchess Road, just south of Malbon Selwyn Road, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the vehicle fish tailing and flipping.
The driver, a 20-year-old Burpengary man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger, a 28-year-old Mount Isa man was transported by helicopter to the Mount Isa Base Hospital, with minor injuries.
Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam vision to please contact police.
Qld Ambulance Service said they treated the Mount Isa man for head shoulder and arm injuries and transported in a stable condition via rescue helicopter to Mount Isa Hospital.
