That was the challenge set down at the Isa Hotel in Mount Isa for Australia Day with a pie eating contest to raise funds for a good cause.
Entry into the competition was$10 with proceeds going to the Salvation Army in support of the bushfires and drought.
The idea was to eat five Mrs Mac's plain pies washed down by a beer and the fastest person to do picked up a $100 voucher
MC on the day, hairdresser Jon James is a noted bon viveur, and said he had three pies the day before but even he suggested five was beyond him.
But it wasn't beyond Matty who despite a dose of the shakes near the end successfully packed away all five pies to win the prize.
And Matty's verdict at the end:
"I'm stuffed!," he said.
