Sunny weather and temperatures into the high 30s are expected for this weekend in the Mount Isa forecast district.
Friday and Saturday will be sunny with light winds while Sunday will be partly cloudy.
By Monday it will also be partly cloudy with a slight (30%) chance of a shower, most likely in the afternoon and evening.
The BoM says there is also the chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.
On Tuesday the chance of a shower goes up to 40% while by Wednesday and Thursday the Bureau says there is a one in two chance of rain with falls of up to 10mm possible.
Maximum temperaratures are also expected to drop to around 32 by the middle of the week.
Mount Isa had three mils of rain on Monday, 4.6mm on Tuesday and 0.4mm Wednesday.
Lake Moondarra is 87.5% full while Julius remains 100% full.
