As of next week the town favourite 'JB' who hosts the morning show on 102.5 Hit Fm Mount Isa is soon moving to Bundaberg to co-host their Triple M morning show.
JB said the thing he is going to miss most about Mount Isa is their love for the town.
"The passion locals have here for Mount Isa is not like other towns, everyone is so proud and it plays a large part in what makes this town so special," JB said.
"The thing I will miss most is all the people who have been involved over years, it's going to be sad to no longer be in contact with them once I move."
JB said he did a total of two and a half years as the Mount Isa host.
"Working your own can be hard at times because you can't be your best everyday but it is expected, so being offered an opportunity to work along side some else I had to take it."
JB said his love for radio came while studying at university.
"While I was at university studying to become a teacher one day I did some promotional work for my local radio station and really got a buss from it.
"From there I lost interest university and gradually focused more and more of my time on radio.
"I was working full time and did two years of unpaid radio work from 4am to 6am to build my skills and profile up.
"Then I was offered a job on the street fleet and it got me in the system," JB said.
JB said in the future he hopes to be working in sport analysis.
"In the future I would love to work along with fox sports as a commentator for rugby league or even as a sport analysis.
"I would like to say thank you to everyone who backed me and got involved in the show. An finally I should spread the word for everyone to get behind the new guy Cam and show him some support."
