Mal, who was diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer in 2015 and has had ongoing treatment at the clinic for the past five years, said they decided to donate the entertainment units to help other patients pass the hours in chemotherapy a little easier.
"I know what it's like to be here from 9 am to 5 pm getting treatment and it can get pretty boring," Mr Oldham said.
"I was lucky because I had my own phone and iPad, but there are other people in town who can't afford to be set up like that, and daytime TV is not all that interesting, let me tell you. We just wanted to provide another form of entertainment for those who can't afford to bring their own."
Mal said it's important for him and his wife to give back to the Mount Isa Cancer Care Unit because they had looked after him so well for over five years.
"This is our way of giving back to the community and the staff at the Cancer Care Unit," he said.
"I've got nothing but praise for the staff here. They do a great job, and they're there for you any time you want, even if it's just to talk."
