While Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny with a top of 34 expected tomorrow, the Bureau is forecasting a possible storm on Friday with a 40 pc chance of rain across the district, most likely in the afternoon and evening.
The chances of seeing the wet stuff increase further on Saturday with a possible shower or storm and a 50 pc chance of rain south of Mount Isa, 30pc elsewhere, again most likely in the afternoon and evening.
We could get up to 8mm of rain on Saturday, with temps in the low 30s.
Sunday will be partly cloudy and a top of 34 and it warms up on Monday with a sunny day and top temps of 36.
There is another 10pc chance of rain next Tuesday.
There is also the chance of showers in the Gulf district though the possibility is lower, around 20pc with falls possible on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Mount Isa's last rain was 4.8mm on August 7 and before that 6.0mm on May 23.
Lake Moondarra is currently 67.01% full while Lake Julius is at 84.7%.
