Visitors have thronged the town on the Gulf of Carpentaria to enjoy the events of the week so far and the fishing to come this weekend.
The Festival started last Saturday with the opening of the Barramundi Discovery Centre's new hatchery
There was a free concert on Saturday night with Tim Griffin and Dave Hudson topping the bill.
There have also been dive-in movies, workshops, prawn eating challenges and poetry workshops to keep tourists entertained throughout the week.
The fishing comp starts 4pm today (you must nominate before fishing) with official weigh-ins to start Saturday morning.
You need to take a photo of your fish with a measuring device as the barra category and king threadfin are catch and release only but you can keep and weigh in fish from all other categories.
Presentations will occur Sunday night at the end of the classic.
The $3000 cash raffle will also be drawn that night
