Former long-standing Cloncurry mayor Noel Robertson has died.

Mr Robertson was Mayor of Cloncurry Shire from 1985 to 2000.
Cloncurry Shire Council said he was instrumental in securing funding for projects like the Chinaman Creek Dam, William Presley Place and the Childcare Centre.
"He loved Cloncurry and the Shire, having been a grazier as well as Mayor," the council said in a statement.
"A keen Rotarian and life member of the Merry Muster Rodeo.We offer our condolences to Joan and the Robertson family."
Noel will be cremated in Brisbane on Friday February 26. The flags of the Cloncurry Council office are flying at half-mast to recognise Noel's passing.
