The Miners' Memorial Advisory Committee aims to give the community, government and businesses the opportunity to provide advice and feedback to Council on matters relevant to the Memorial which is anticipated to be unveiled in 2023, in Mount Isa's centenary year celebrations.
The committee will assist Council by providing guidance on infrastructure, events, and funding opportunities which are complementary to the celebration.
Committee members' roles will include: planning and policy development, strategic program reviews, facilitation of partnerships, community, and user-participation programs and provision of support to specific project working groups established by Council from time to time.
